As we are already in the second half of January, be sure to check your 202 property assessments that were mailed to you starting December 31, 2019 to ensure they are aligned with general market conditions prevailing last July (which is the date of valuation for 2020).

For instance, waterfront homes in the Uplands have seen their values decrease at BC Assessment by 5% for 2020, and non-waterfront homes in Uplands have decreased 7.9% for the same period.
DEADLINE RAPIDLY APPROACHING: The deadline to file an appeal with BC Assessment is January 31, 2020. If you’d like to appeal you will need your facts and supporting evidence to present to BC Assessment, however, in some circumstances you will have more time, however, you must give notice by January 31st.
